Consultation
Before treatment at The Laser Room Med Spa, you'll discuss your skin goals. We work together to pinpoint your top area(s) of concern and find the best solutions.
If a Glowtox session could support your concern, we can proceed with your treatment immediately!
Treatment
After taking pictures to establish your baseline and track progress, we prepare the chemical peel and injections. We'll apply the chemical peel first.
After washing off your chemical peel, we'll strategically place your Botox or Dysport injections.
Aftercare
After the procedure, you may have little, raised red areas over your face where you were injected. These typically go away after about 30 minutes. Any injection has the possibility of bruising. A 2-week follow-up appointment should be scheduled, and it is essential that you attend that appointment.

Pre-Care Instructions
Preparing for Glowtox
Make sure we know of any facial cold sore or herpes break-outs so we can help minimize the chances of a possible breakout after treatment.
Try to eat a snack before your appointment to keep from feeling light-headed or faintish during your injection.
Don’t consume aspirin, St. John’s wort, fish oil, vitamin E, or alcohol for 5 days prior to treatment.
Avoid scheduling your treatment within 3 weeks of a big event.
Post-Care Instructions
Glowtox Post Care
Use the muscle injected frequently (at least once every 10 minutes or 6 times in 1 hour) for one hour following the treatment to help move the neurotoxin into the muscle.
Do not lay flat for 3-4 hours following the treatment and avoid positions that require you to keep your head down such as scrubbing floors, etc.
Avoid wearing a tight-fitting hat or headband across your forehead if that area has been treated.
Avoid laying in the sun for long periods of time until the neurotoxin effect is evident.
No straining, heavy lifting, or vigorous exercise 24-48 hours following treatment. Avoid manipulation of the area following the treatment including: rubbing the forehead or other treated area; having a facial done; or getting a massage where you are lying in a prone position (face down).
It is recommended not to fly in an airplane within 5 days of receiving a neurotoxin. Especially very long flights such as ones overseas.
Neurotoxin changes are a slow process and not immediate. It usually takes 2 weeks to see the final result. For this reason; any touch-up WILL NOT be done prior to the 2-week period following treatment.
