Get Brighter, More Even Skin
Photofacial in Apple Valley, MN
Sun damage accumulates over time and leaves your skin with an uneven complexion, with redness and hyperpigmentation. But uneven skin can also be caused by pigmented lesions, melasma, and other factors beyond our control. At The Laser Room Med Spa, we offer an incredible solution to blotchy skin with IPL photofacials in Apple Valley, MN!
How it Works
IPL photofacials use specific wavelengths of light to penetrate the top layer of your skin (epidermis). In the dermis, the light becomes heat energy that stimulates healing and collagen production.

Preparing for an IPL Photofacial
Let us know if you have an active breakout, cold sores, or lesions, as we may need to reschedule your photofacial appointment.
Let us know about the medications you take so we can ensure you’re not on light sensitive medications.
Avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours before an IPL photofacial and discontinue use of retinoids 12 hours prior.
Use no oil based creams or gels for a week before your treatment.
IPL Photofacial Post-Care
Immediately after treatment, your skin will be red and slightly swollen. Avoid excessive heat and the sun for at least 48 hours.
The redness and swelling can last up to 10 days. Pigmented lesions may darken for a week or 2. Use no oil based creams or gels for a week after your treatment.
You should wear SPF daily, regardless of if you’re inside or outside and regardless of if it’s sunny or not.
