Boost Healing for Younger Skin
PRP in Apple Valley, MN
If someone told you they could take your blood, spin it really fast, and inject it back into you for major healing benefits, would you believe them? Well, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a little more complicated than that, but the basics are true! At The Laser Room Med Spa, you can find effective and trustworthy PRP in Apple Valley, MN and tackle signs of aging skin.
How it Works
To create platelet-rich plasma, we spin your blood in a centrifuge until the components separate, leaving a layer of plasma that’s rich with growth factors. When injected back into your body, those growth factors supercharge healing and repair. We often pair PRP with microneedling for intensive results.
What to Expect
The PRP Process
Consultation
Before treatment at The Laser Room Med Spa, you'll discuss your skin goals. We work together to pinpoint your top area(s) of concern and find the best solutions.
If PRP could support your concern, we can proceed with your treatment immediately!
Treatment
After taking pictures to establish your baseline and track progress, we draw blood and prepare the PRP.
Once that's done, we inject the PRP back into your treatment areas where it will stimulate the healing process for renewed skin.
Aftercare
After the procedure, you may have little raised red areas over your face where you were injected. These typically go away after about 30 minutes. It is very important to not touch your face or raise your body temperature for the next 4 hours. A 2-week follow-up appointment should be scheduled, and it is essential that you attend that appointment.

PRP FAQs
Because PRP is derived from your own body, there are virtually no risks associated with it! The most important thing to think about when considering PRP injections is who performs it—any kind of injection should only come from a qualified and experienced professional.
Yes! Physicians have used PRP for decades to speed tissue healing for injuries, and it works just as well to restore your youthful skin. PRP is essentially the same yellow-ish stuff that wounds produce as they heal—that’s why the old saying goes “pus means it’s healing”!
